A Gentle Summer Breeze

Hambella tastes just like a gentle summer breeze feels on your skin: fruity strawberry and smooth milk chocolate come together in a mild yet vibrant filter coffee. With its delicate acidity and creamy mouthfeel, this natural Arabica brings lightness to your coffee break – perfect for sunny days or moments that feel like them.

Where Variety and Craftsmanship Meet

Hambella is a region in western Ethiopia, renowned worldwide for its exceptional coffees. The fruity and honey-sweet aromas are the result of diverse microclimates, nutrient-rich soils, and the decades of experience of local farmers. Here, 370 families work hand in hand with the Dimtu farm and local cooperatives. These partnerships ensure not only full traceability and strict quality controls, but also investments in infrastructure and community projects. Every bean is the outcome of decades of knowledge, careful handcraft, and the pride in a truly unique product.

Careful Cultivation on Volcanic Soil at High Altitudes

At 2,200 meters above sea level, the coffee plants thrive in an ideal balance of mild climate, fertile volcanic soil, and diverse microclimates. These conditions produce beans with the hallmark Hambella balance of fine acidity and full body.
The natural processing preserves the coffee’s full fruit character: after harvest, the ripe cherries are carefully selected, spread out on drying beds, and turned several times a day. Under the Ethiopian sun, they develop their intense aromas of strawberry and milk chocolate, rounded off by a fresh, floral finish.

Tips for Preparation

Hambella shines especially well in pour-over methods such as the Hario V60 or Kalita Wave. It also delights in a French press or as a cold brew. However you prefer to drink it, Hambella always surprises: enjoyed black, it impresses with lightness and freshness; paired with milk (or milk alternatives), it reveals smooth, chocolatey notes.

Hambella brings a piece of Ethiopian summer to your cup. Fruity and mild – like a fresh breeze.

Probably my favourite coffee ever.

This coffee was hands-down phenomenal. Despite the fact that it was marketed as a Christmas blend, I wish Coffee Circle would make it available during all seasons. In addition to the quality of the beans, I love the excellence of Coffee Circle’s packaging, delivery, and all-around customer care.
